The starting point

Dictation should fit into the application a person is already using. The product needed a small recording interface, a predictable delivery flow and a way to set up local speech models.

What we built

  • A desktop application with a floating dictation control and configurable shortcuts.
  • Local speech-model installation, onboarding and permission setup.
  • A workflow that captures speech, transcribes it and delivers text to the focused application.

What the work delivered

A working desktop product with a local processing option. The work includes the interface, application integration and first-run experience.
